Dog Jacket

The weather turned cold so we used an old fleece and coat to create a dog jacket. Here is Alfie, one of Christmas boarders modelling the new coat. The pictures below show some of the steps.

After the measurements were taken a paper pattern was created. This was folded around the dog to double check the size. Remember to leave a little extra for the hem.

Once the size is correct, lay out the pattern on the fabric and sew all the way round.

Place the coat around the dog and mark the positon of the velcro to fasten the front and also the position of the straps.
